OneNote vs. EverNote
Stuart recently posted about a tool he loves called EverNote and apparently he learned about it from Jim a while back. His description of EverNote sounded very much like what Microsoft OneNote does ... except EverNote is free while OneNote is ~$13 (open charity).
So I fired off a bunch of questions to Stuart about EverNote. All my favorite features in OneNote are in EverNote ... and Stuart used to use OneNote and has switched to EverNote which of course has peaked my curiousity in EverNote even more. So I just installed it and will run it side by side with OneNote for a while and see how they compare.
Wow, I can't believe I've not blogged about OneNote before now ... it ROCKS! Aside from Outlook, I use OneNote way more than any other Office2003 app. It's a great documentation tool in part due to it's screen clipping feature. It's also just great for just capturing notes on the fly. I used it all day Monday during our switch from POTS lines to a new PRI ... created a quick checklist and documented changes. It's one of those tools that you just have to experience to appreciate...and then you'll soon find you can't live without it and almost never open Word anymore :-)
So OneNote vs. EverNote ... GAME ON!!!!
VS.
Man, I sure am getting a good run on Evernote, between you and Stuart! The funny thing is, I had forgotten about it and haven't used it for quite some time. I've got to jump back in there and make use of it, it is a sweet tool.

Sounds cool! I'm a OneNote fan also. It's a touch time to be thinking about changing for me with some of the new features of OneNote 12 on the horizon...

I find the program: Livepad from http://www.seeplain.com/
I used one note, evernote, gobinder... but..
Livepad it´s my choice.. it´s small size, easy...
It has video clips, allows you to share with others across a network, compatibility with office (all versions) even better than one note. And works in my old windows 98.
