Imagine my surprise when I got an email alert from Yahoo Music that Iron Maiden just released a new album. "These guys are still around?" was my first reaction.
For an 80's head banger, I was never a Maiden fan ... I only know one song ... "Run to the Hills" which is probably the only one most people know :-)
So to those of you closet Maiden fans ... go check out the new album A Matter of Life And Death. For kicks I did listen through the album (the beauty of Yahoo Music Engine) ... and as before I'm still not a Maiden fan.
In fact when I hear the name Iron Maiden I immediately think of a short dialogue from a certain fun movie from the very late 80's. 500 Bonus points for the first person to list the movie title and 500 points for the dialogue I'm thinking of :-)
If you like Maiden but want some "Christian" lyrics ... check out Barren Cross. Funny that I like a band that sounds like Maiden better than the real thing! Reason? The magical production touch from John and Dino Elefante (yes, John was the lead singer from Kansas). These are same dudes the produced Petra's albums amoung other artists.
UPDATE: We have a winner. Mike Utech correctly identified the movie and line ... and thus is the proud owner of 1000 bonus points! :-)

I did get a copy of the new album, still have to listen to it. But I wasn't into them, I was a hugh Megadeth fan though.
