Jason, I can't wait to hear how it goes. Unfortunately, I will not be able to participate due to my schedule. Let us all know how it goes.... and of course, I'm sure someone will save the digital output!

Jason,

I'm planning on making it. I'm not on staff but volunteer at my church with our website. We're getting ready to do a major redesign. If there's time, I'd be interested in hearing what graphic/web designers you and others have used.

I thought the skypecast went well. In case you're wondering I was bamed337, and I'm the IT Director for College Heights Christian Church in Joplin, MO, and you can find my blog at http://www.xanga.com/bamed.
Hope to join the next skypecast.

Well ... it wasn't as clear as I was hoping ... but one on one seemed to sound ok.

I think the key will be all of us getting headsets which should dramatically cut down background noises.

I'm also thinking having an IRC chat open will be helpful.

Well, please comment your thoughts/ideas and we'll take another stab at this again.

Thanks,
Jason

That wasn't too bad for the first round. I think headphones are a must, and a headset is best. High bandwidth doesn't hurt either. Looking forward to doing this again.
I mentionted our new website, http://www.clcdayton.com. After a lot of looking, we went with Elexio - http://www.elexio.com, and their Intellisite product. It's been the best of both worlds for us, because I'm the IT guy & the web guy. This product has allowed us to have a professionally designed site and distribute the responsibilities of maintaining it throughout our staff and volunteers.
I've got some posts about our experiences at http://banderson.wordpress.com.

For the next time around I'd like to ask for those of us who live on the Left Coast: Can we move the start time back to 1 or 2 PM Eastern time?

Good point Sam ... love to the left coasters! :-)

Sorry I missed out this past Friday, had planned on making it. Look forward to the next exchange.

Sorry I missed out! Since the IT Roundtable in Granger, I have been buried & work and have just surfaced.

I had a great time at the conference and look forward to staying in touch.

This seems like a good idea. Next time I hope to join the discussion. Maybe you can post a note on itdiscuss.org when you are going to do your next Skype meeting.
