Back in the saddle

I've enjoyed being off work the past week and a half.  Much to my own surprise I was able to refrain from doing or thinking much about anything work related ... this is a skill I'd like to learn to master.  There were several issue's big enough that I got called at home ... sadly last week was "the week from Hades" for Ed ... but for the most part I was left alone to hang with my fam and our new addition.

A huge change for me has been getting up at stinkin' 6:30am to get Jacob ready for school ... I am very much NOT a morning person.  I'm still struggling to get my body to shut down earlier at night which naturally makes getting up the next morning unpleasant.  Kim's been great about trying to not wake me during the night ... and Ashlee's been a good sleeper so far as well.  Maybe I'll have to learn to drink coffee now that I'm becoming a morning person ... that's just sick and wrong on so many levels :-)

A big congrats to Shelley Templin (wife of our one of our stellar IT volunteers) for winning the Guess The Date contest.  She choose 1/19 at 1:10am ... only about 5 hours off :-)
Shelley is now the proud owner of 1000 bonus points!  Use them wisely!
Check out Shelley's blogs at templins.blogspot.com and sck-eg.blogspot.com

From both Kim and I we want to say many thanks to everyone for your well wishes and prayers over the past 2 weeks.  Thank you thank you thank you.  I'd ask for continued prayer this coming week as our family works out new routines and Kim's now home alone with the baby for most of the day.

Well, I'm back in the saddle tomorrow ... I know a bunch of stuff was put on hold while I was out so I anticipate the next couple days will be quite crazy ... hmm, better pray for me too ;-)
