Well, if you haven't already heard the buzz this morning ... Tony Morgan (my boss) is leaving GCC to go work with Perry Noble's team. Bittersweet is about the only way to put it. We're all very excited for this next chapter in his life, but we don't want to see him leave. Yup, very bittersweet.
Tony is an amazing leader and it's been great working for him for the past 3+ years. Tony hired me ... so we know he's not only a great leader, but also very smart :-)
Best wishes to you and your family Tony. You will be missed!
Transitions...
After various meetings/discussions it makes the most sense that IT and a couple other teams will now fall under my buddy Kem Meyer ... Communications Guru and wanna-be-geek ;-)
I'm pretty excited to get to work more with Kem. She gave me lots of pointers when I first started at GCC and we did several workshops together that first year. With Andy's departure I've gotten more involved with her teams and now with Tony leaving it's a very natural fit that IT would fall under her umbrella.
I've also got another bit of IT news I'm really excited about, but I can't share it ... just yet.
