114 days ago (Dec 10th) we kicked off the first Church IT Biggest Loser contest. I wasn't sure how many would sign up, but I just knew I was tired of being overweight and Ed was feeling similarly.
In the end we had 20 registrations at $25/ea for a total pot of $500! Alan Hunt of VR6 Systems even donated a Nuvi 200 GPS unit towards the cause (thanks Alan!)
My starting weight was a whoppin' 215.5 lbs and I set my goal at 180 which I figured is about where I was when I got married. This morning I was happy to see 176.5! That's 39 lbs or 18.14% weight loss!! It's crazy to think I was that overweight. And the even more sobering thought is that I've still got maybe 20 more lbs to go! Need to get to the doc to find my ideal weight.
I'll try to elaborate later on my routine and whatnot that's gotten me thus far ... regardless to say I feel great and no longer look like a chunk. It's funny the number of people that do double takes when they see me ... of course then they want to know my weight loss 'secrets' ... "umm, eat smart and exercise is all I've for ya" ;-)
Final contest results and post mortem to follow later this evening ... and for those interested we'll be firing up another biggest loser contest shortly as well.
OK. Let's see some photos. I've seen you in person, but others might like to see some before shots as well as the afters.

Jason, way to go man! Dude, I was terrified this morning when I saw that you passed my number from last week. My pounds haven't been coming off very fast lately... still workin' my butt off, but it's one of those plateaus. Anyway, sorry to get your hopes up and then shatter them again. This has been such a cool adventure for me. THANK YOU so much for making it happen.

Jason, this has been a great experience. Thanks for cordinating it all -- I know it was a lot of extra work, and it's very much appreciated. I'm ready for round 2!
