Tire Rack One Lap Of America Finale

Saturday morning I took the boys over to The Tire Rack to watch the end of the One Lap Of America event ... for those old enough, this event is what's become of the infamous Cannonball Dash popularized by the movies Smokey and the Bandit and Cannonball Run.

It's a chance to see up close some sweet cars and this year was no exception.  The finale is also fun because many competitors will go out onto the track and do long smokey burnouts to the cheers of the crowd :-)

DSC_5015 Newly debuted Mongoose GTP ... you won't see many of these driving around town!

DSC_5075 DSC_5076 Not your typical Honda Odyssey ... this one has rollcage, uber stiff suspension, turbo charger ... makes haulin' kids to practice very enjoyable
