Way to go Jason! You must have tried very hard to get those results. Way to be an over-achiever. ;)

My first guess is that the screen saver kicked in. My guess is that it was set to choose a screensaver randomly and chose an OpenGL one that VMWare didn't really do too well with. It probably tried to emulate 3D hardware.

Am I right?

Doh, beat me by 15 minutes. I was going to buy OpenGL screensaver for $1000, Alex. I did that exact same thing on Monday - freaky until I figured out why my mouse cursor was suddenly plodding across the screen.
