That Network World article for which I was interviewed came out today ... and surprisingly I actually made it into the final copy! Woohooo!
Check out page 2 and 5 of the A Virtual Breeze article ... my part isn't exciting, but hey ... I've finally been published in a big time rag :-)
My prior claim to fame was being part of a Dell whitepaper on school laptop initiatives ... doesn't appear to be listed anymore on Dell's site.
Of course now the data about us in the article is out-of-date ... we now have a SAN and are now at 8 physical servers and 10 virtual servers. Last Tuesday our team moved our SQL box into a virtual environment ... which means we only have 1 major production level server left (our main fileserver) before all the core stuff is virtualized and living on the SAN. More juicy details to follow...
If you'd like me to sign your hardcopy of the 8/21/06 edition of Network World, please come to the Innovative Church Conference on Sept 21/22 ... I'll have my own booth ;-)
Also check out the other articles on virtualization if you're still new to the scene ... virtualization rulez!
Cool. I guess I will have to send my copy up with Vic for you to sign :) LOL
