Well the results are in ... I finally got around to checking on how many wifi users we had during the Leadership Summit.
Using ManageEngine's Wifi Manager, you can see that over the 3 days we had a max of 53 simultaneous unique computers on our wireless network. This includes both public and private wireless access ... and I'm too lazy right now to go through and filter out the private users ;-)
So although we had something like 400 people in our auditorium, not many brought a laptop ... a bit surprising to me. I'm curious to see how many users we have during the upcoming ICC.
That means Marcus Monroe's guess of 133 is the closest ... and thus wins not only 2000 bonus points, but his choice of font type and color (as close as I can get it with typepad) for his name (Marcus, shoot me an email bro). Thanks to all who took a guess ... they'll be more opportunities to win down the road so stay tuned!
We hosted the Leadership Summit for the first time at Resurrection this year. Saw a lot of laptop users in the Sanctuary, but we didn't go look at the traffic data to see how many of them were taking advantage of our WiFi. It's interesting to see your numbers.

Very interesting! So, do you know how much bandwidth they used? I can tell you why I'm curious, but the concept of having that many people access my small pipe out of our church at one time, with a staff and a school sharing it, makes me cringe! Anyone download "Rocky IX" or anything? :-)
